What modern-day invention can you not live without?


Ice machine.


If you could meet anyone — living or dead — who would it be and what’s the first question you would ask them?


Thomas Jefferson. Have things turned out the way you thought they would?


Name your favorite television series and why?


"True Detective." Clever conversation and good music.


What moral values are essential for a successful career?


Honesty, loyalty and compassion.


How do you define happiness?


Traveling with family in Greece … the homeland of my grandfather who immigrated to the U.S.


How do you defuse stress or tension?


Dinner and martinis with my husband.


What is your favorite pickup line?


I always vote for you.


Any guilty pleasure(s)?


Boiled peanuts


What is your most embarrassing public moment?


Running into someone at the airport who says, “You don’t remember me, do you?”


What words best describe the city you live in?


Only in District 1.


What is the most difficult task you’ve accomplished this year?


Having three of my bills included in the VA reform package signed into law.


What is the most important topic for the Nevada Legislature to address during the 2015 session?


Funding education.


Any regrets this past year?


Having to give the Fremont Cannon congressional trophy back to Congressman (Mark) Amodei.


What is your top priority moving into 2015?


Continuing to fight for and serve the people in District 1.
