Fabrizio Piva yesterday won IPT Sanremo for €121,000 after beating a field of 245 players. Piva beat Frenchman Ryad Belabdelouahab heads-up but not before the pair had struck a deal which saw Belabdelouahab win €89,600.
Belabdelouahab had moved all-in with A?4? on a Q?J?9?K?9? board but was called down by A?Q? to give Piva the winner's trophy and lion's share of the money.

The next stop of the Italian Poker Tour will be in Nova Gorica 22-27 August 2013 and will feature an accumulator tournament that allow players who make it through Day 1A to also buy into Day 1B and/or Day 1C. Any and all chips will be pooled into one single Day 2 starting stack. IPT Nova Gorica carries a smaller €700 buy-in so you could buy into all three days for a similar amount to the regular €2,200 IPT buy-in. Check the IPT site for dates and satellite details by clicking here.
