Q I have to go from work to several parties so no time to change except for make up. I’m OK on the basics but what do you suggest to ‘glam’ myself up?
A As make-up artist Armand Beasley, whose clients include Goldie Hawn and Michelle Keegan, says, ‘You want maximum glam with minimum effort’. Here he shares his ‘Fave Festive’ products.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow, £38.50. You can use this magic product as a primer for instant soft focus luminosity to perk up tired skin. (Try mixing a teeny bit in with your foundation.) Or use over make-up: stroke a little over the top of cheekbones and under eyebrows as a highlighter. Brilliant on shoulders, décolleté, or even the front of bare legs.
Yves Saint Laurent Wildly Gold Palette, £69. Four versatile eye shadows, two lip colours (one sheer pink, the other semi-matte in mid-rose) and a stunning baby pink blush. Press (rather than brush) a little of the gold on the middle part of your eyelid, then blend out the edges. Use the dark grey – Smoking Noir – wet or dry along the lash line: widen out slightly at the outer edge for a more ‘lifted’ look – a softer version of the ‘kitten flick’.
Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara, £13. Fab for those teeny hard to reach bottom lashes, and also perfect for intensifying top lashes.
Bobbi Brown Art Stick, £19.50. Fab multi-tasking chunky pencil that works as a creamy lippy/liner for perfect party lips (and great for cheeks too). in eight shades.
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner, £14. Add instant sparkle with a thin line over your existing liner, or a dab at the inner corner. In blue-grey Spandex or bright violet ACDC. (If you can’t find this now-cult product, The Body Shop offers a silver Glitter Eyeliner for £9.)

Beauty Bible loves ? The Lanolips Artist's Tin, £15.28
Limited edition (and at Whole Foods Market's stores nationwide), the tin itself is designed by Aussie fashion illustrator Kelly Smith: she won a competition organised by Lanolips's Kirsten Carriol, who's thrilled to be showcasing Kelly's work.
We're already thinking of nice things (love letters? postcards from friends?) which we can stash in the tin when we've used the last of the duo of classic Lanolips creations: multi-tasking 101 Ointment (15g) and the Intense Hand Balm (25ml).
Who said tins ain't what they used to be, eh?
